As I begin my next adventure with technology, I begin my brainstorm of ideas for my Digital Pedagogy Project. I am going to call in DPP for short. Really, it’s just a fancy name for “I am going to teach my readers something incorporating technology”.
For this project, I have considered many options for things I am both good at and would find benefit my readers. Thoughts that have come to mind are cooking, cleaning, watching TV, playing on my iPad, and being happy and healthy. Since I have to incorporate technology, I do not find that cleaning or watching TV would be a good choice. I also only play the same three games on my iPad (Soduku, Candy Crush and 2048), so after three posts I would be out of games I am good at. That leaves me with cooking and living a happy and healthy life.
So now I leave it to my voters to weigh in and tell me what they would be happy with. To help you with your choices, here are a few more details on each.
1. Cooking: I would both use my existing as well as find recipes on the internet and show tutorials on how I make them. If timing permits, I will bring my samples to class with me and let people try the delicious goodness.
2. Living a happy and healthy life: This is the choice I am most excited about. I have found that I am constantly bombarded with pictures of “perfect bodies” and “happy living” articles. I also found that the more I read them, the more unrealistic the tips are. For living a happy and healthy life, I will give me realistic tips for the average person for both a healthy body and a healthy mind, which I believe leads to happiness.
So please help me decide and cast your votes!
